DISK SUBSTRATE FOR HARD DISK DRIVE USING FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS

PURPOSE: A disk substrate for a hard disk drive using fiber reinforced plastics is provided to enable mass production of cheap products, to prevent corrosion of a disk substrate, and to reduce a period of time required for manufacturing the products. CONSTITUTION: A molten resin material is injected into a mold of a stamper to injection-mold and compression-mold a disk substrate(100) for a hard disk drive. Fiber reinforced plastics(200) are used as the molten resin material of the disk substrate. Fibers(300) of the disk substrate are arranged radially in a manner that the interval between fibers becomes wide as it goes from the center of the disk substrate to the edge of the substrate.
