The invention concerns a sealed container filled with a liquid and designed to make ice. It comprises a tray having a peripheral wall (18) closed on one side with a base (20) and defining on the other side an opening for removing ice. The container comprises an inner seal (16) closing the sealed tray above the opening. The base (20) has a deformation recessed inwards of the tray which externally defines a transverse groove (30) extending from one end of the base (20) to the other and emerging at each of its ends on the tray peripheral wall (18), said base having two bulged edges (32) extending from one part of the groove (30) to the other.
