The bottle neck (4) has an external thread on to which an internally threaded stopper can be fitted. Projections (10a, 10b) on the thread brake the stopper as it is screwed from an intermediate position to a fully screwed up position. Independent claims are included for: (a) the combination of the bottle and stopper and (b) the stopper.
