PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electrical equipment from being energized continuously for a long time. SOLUTION: This protection device includes a power supply controller 13 controlling whether or not power is supplied to the electrical equipment, an electrical equipment controller 11 outputting a control signal to the power supply controller 13, and a malfunction detector 13 monitoring the energized condition of the electrical equipment and initializing the power supply controller 13 when the energized condition continues over a prescribed time so that a system may be reset when the electrical equipment SL1 is energized over the preset time. The reset is repeated until the corresponding electrical equipment restores to its normal condition. However, the power of the system is shut off if the system is not recovered even if the number of predetermined resets is achieved. |
