PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing an alarm state in an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) is provided to solve the inaccuracy of a system operation according to the inconsistency of the alarm state by self-diagnosing a hardware alarm state and a software alarm state and judging whether the inconsistency of the alarm state occurs. CONSTITUTION: If an alarm diagnosis is requested from an operated when diagnosing a software alarm, a fault processing unit(1a) requests the transmission of alarm data to a speech path maintenance unit(3a) in each subsystem. The speech path maintenance unit(3a) gathers trunk software alarms of the subsystem and transmits the gathered alarms to the fault processing unit(1a). The fault processing unit(1a) requests the transmission of an alarm message to the speech path maintenance unit(3a). The speech path maintenance unit(3a) transmits a previously transmitted alarm message to the fault processing unit(1a). The fault processing unit(1a) transmits a real alarm message to an output control unit(5). The output control unit(5) transmits the real alarm message to a network management center(6).
