PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, capable of surely obtaining color slurring amount, without causing errors in measurement even if there is dynamic fluctuation on a measurement object such as a transfer belt on which a pattern for detecting the color slurring is formed, in order to perform detection by a sensor. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with 1st and 2nd image forming means A to D, for forming different color images on an intermediate transfer belt 24 or transfer material S carried on the belt 24, a color smear detection sensor 15 for detecting the 1st and the 2nd patterns for detecting the color slurring formed on the belt 24 by the 1st and the 2nd image forming means A to D, and adjusts the position of the image formed on a moving body or the transfer material S carried on the belt 24, based on the detected result by the sensor 15. The 1st pattern P1 for detecting the color slurring is equipped with plural images, having prescribed width in the direction orthogonal to the moving direction of the belt 24 in the moving direction, and the plural images are formed to be shifted each other by a prescribed distance in the direction orthogonal to the moving direction. |
