PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral-axial screw type fluid machine offering suction-to- discharge axial flow construction for permitting a higher vacuum and a lower final discharge temperature than usual, achieving energy saving by improving the cooling effect of a casing. SOLUTION: The screw type fluid machine has a rotor formed in plural stages and a screw lead in one or two stages or in plural stages, all stages being the same in length or the second and third stages being somewhat longer. The screw type fluid machine is easy to process including the screw lead, superior in cooling effect and successful in energy saving.
