<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically register a visiting place and a permanent location in a mobile information system such as a car navigation system. SOLUTION: Position information that a position detecting means 101 detects is stored in a position memory means 102. A position recognizing means 103 recognizes a frequently visiting place and a permanent location for a device from the position information stored in the memory means 102 and a moving locus pattern, and registers as a registered destination and the permanent location (user's home). Thus, the destination being frequently used can be registered without special operation. The registered position can be used as a destination for pathway searching. Also, a burglary can be detected by recognizing the permanent location.</p> |
