PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor wherein flux leakage through auxiliary teeth is reduced. SOLUTION: A stator core 10 is provided with main teeth 11 to 16 and auxiliary teeth 21 to 26. The tip face 11b of the main tooth 11 is formed arcuately, and the tip faces 21b of the auxiliary teeth 21 to 26 are formed at a substantially right angle to the center lines of the auxiliary teeth 21. Letting the gap between the tip face 11b of the main tooth 11 and the circumferential surface of a rotor core 30 beδ1 and the gap between the tip face 21b of the auxiliary tooth 21 and the circumferential surface of the rotor core 30 beδ2, the gaps are set so that 2<=δ2/δ1<=3.5. Letting the opening angle of the tip face 11b of the main tooth beθ1 and the opening angle of the tip face 21b of the auxiliary tooth beθ2, the opening angles are set so that 0.1<=θ2/θ1<=0.3. Letting the width of the main tooth be (a) and the width of the auxiliary tooth 21 be (b), the widths are set so that 0.1<=b/a<=0.35.
