PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a Fresnel lens sheet with which a ghost image by unnecessary light is restrained and an image having excellent contrast is obtained. SOLUTION: This Fresnel lens sheet is constituted by arraying many saw- toothed Fresnel lenses consisting of a Fresnel lens surface 4 performing the function of a convex lens and a rise surface 5 positioned between the adjacent Fresnel lens surfaces 4. In the case of forming a light diffusion layer (or light absorption layer) on the rise surface of the Fresnel lens sheet, the surfaces 4 and 5 are coated with light diffusive material (or light absorptive material) and then the light diffusive material (or light absorptive material) on the surface 4 is scraped with a tool made of rubber material, so that the light diffusion layer (or light absorption layer) is formed on the surface 5.
