PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely carry out a tuck-in operation and to decrease a disturbance of warps by leading an air jet flow to the central part of a warp opening in the tuck-in of a weft end and to surely transport the weft end. SOLUTION: At least one of jets 31a and 32a of an air jet flow for turning an end part 18a of a weft 18 which is cut after weft inserting in an opening of warps 12 is opened to at least one of the upper part and the lower part of a weft route through which the weft 18 is passed by beating up. Air guides 35 and 36 projecting toward the opening of the warps 12 are formed between the weft route in the vicinity of the periphery parts of the jets 31a and 32a and the jets 31a and 32a. Faces at the sides of the jets 31a and 32a of the air guides 35 and 36 are inclined toward the tip of the air guides 35 and 36 so as to approach the weft route.
