<p>The present invention relates to a sternum cutting apparatus which comprises a cutting component, transmission members, driving assembly and a shell which comprises a forward jib and a handle. The cutting component is installed on the end of the forward jib, the transmission members which drive the cutting component are fixed in forward jib, and the driving assembly which drives the transmission members is fitted in the handle. The cutting component and the handle is respectively on each of two sides of the forward jib and they are both perpendicular to the forward jib. It isbecause the forward jib is perpendicular to the handle that the incision on a patient could be made smaller and the position of the incision could be lower. This will not only be favourable for the postoperative beauty of the patient but also relieve the postoperative distress of the patient. The cutting apparatus according to the present invention may also be used as a bone drill.</p> |
