PURPOSE: Provided is a method for growing plants using germanium and brimstone to obtain plants containing a large amount of sulfur compounds, organic germanium and organic selenium which benefits human bodies, thereby increasing the medical properties and food utilities of the plants. CONSTITUTION: The brimstone fertilizer is obtained by mixing brimstone with dried grass in a ratio of 1 to 200 kg of brimstone to 1 tone of dried grass and firing the mixture of the brimstone and the dried grass to form ash. Germanium stone is processed by pulverizing the germanium stone into powders, followed by thermal treatment and gradually heating the pulverized germanium stone from 100 deg.C to 1100 deg.C to fire ingredients contained in the germanium stone except germanium. The brimstone fertilizer ash and the processed germanium powders are mixed and sprinkled over a field in a ratio of about 500g per 1 pyung of field. After sowing, the mixture of the brimstone fertilizer ash and the processed germanium powders is again sprinkled over the field in a ratio of about 500g per 1 pyung.
