<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weighted ignition coil of high reliability for an internal combustion engine, accommodated in a high voltage tower part with a diode and a resistor with respect to an ignition device having a simple structure and a misfire detecting function of the internal combustion engine, and free from the mis-ignition. SOLUTION: The ignition coil, a high voltage-proof diode for preventing the pre-ignition, and the resistor connected to the diode in parallel and allowing the ion current for detecting the misfire to flow, are mounted in the high voltage tower part. The high voltage-proof diode and the resistor are connected to the ignition coil and an ignition plug through the high voltage-proof terminal. The high voltage-proof diode and the resistor are mounted in adjacent to the high voltage terminal, and the ignition coil is mounted in adjacent to the diode and the resistor, in the high voltage tower.</p> |
