COOLING SYSTEM IN HEAVY EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: A cooling system used in heavy equipment is provided to prevent engine power from being wasted and to reduce noise by adjusting a driving speed of a cooling fan according to temperature of a coolant and oil. CONSTITUTION: A cooling system includes a cooling fan and a fan clutch(11) coupled to a rotating shaft of the cooling fan. The fan clutch(11) allows a rotational force of the rotating shaft to be transferred to the cooling fan. A coolant temperature detecting section(12) is provided to detect the temperature of the coolant. The temperature of torque converting oil is detected by a torque converting oil temperature detecting section(14). A control section(16) is provided to control the fan clutch(11) in such a manner that engine power is transferred into the cooling fan when a selection switch selects a high-speed. When the selection switch selects automation, the control section(16) controls the fan clutch(11) based on the temperature detected by the coolant temperature detecting section(12) and the torque converting oil temperature detecting section(14).
