PURPOSE: A method for preparing an insulator and an insulator prepared by the method are provided, to improve the isolation efficiency between a metal tool and an insulator by using a ring. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of forming at least one groove at the position where a metal tool(20) is adhered to a ceramic insulator(10), and polishing the surface to make the diameter of an insulator(10) be regular; inserting an elastic ring(13) into the groove; inserting the metal tool(20) into the insulator(10) to fix it temporally; and pressing the metal tool(20) with a roller to fix it completely. Preferably the elastic ring(13) is made of silicone rubber. The insulator is applied to a high pressure condenser.
