SUBSTANCE: mechanical press has carcass, mold half mounted for displacement within carcass, pressing frame, slide, table, crank drive whose one crank is connected with slide and other crank with pressing chamber, slide valve for feeding sand mixture and members for regulating the extent of charging mold with sand mixture. Press is equipped with device for adjusting pressure applied at first molding stage and made in the form of controllable stop. Pressure applied to stop is oriented in one direction and may be adjusted. Stop is joined to intermediate member connected to slide. Press is used for manufacture of lime-sand, ceramic, fire clay and other kinds of brick in two stages. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, simplified construction and increased efficiency. 2 dwg
