A system for monitoring chargeable use by a user of an information provision system has a database storing time allowance data. Users can request information in the form of advice from any one of a number of advisers located in the same country as the user, or in different countries. The time taken to prepare the advice is recorded by a local timer at each information provision sub-system (a local server). The time elapsed to prepare the advice is recorded in a database. Each user is charged in their own currency to purchase further time allocation. Mechanisms are included for prompting their user when their time allocation is too low for further advice to be given. The allows access to different types of advice including tax, legal and financial through a single unified system. <IMAGE> |
