PURPOSE: An air conditioner using the heat of earth is provided to keep the inside temperature of a building lower than outside when cooling and to preheat the internal air of the building when heating. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner using the heat of earth comprises drilling members(10) having first and second end portions, heat transfer members(20) inserted to second end portions and combined to first through holes formed on the outer face of the second end portion using combining members, drilling pipes inserted to first end portions to bury the drilling members in a specific depth, heat diffusing units connected to the ends of the heat transfer members to diffuse the heat of earth to a room(100), and an insulating member(60) covered on the heat transfer members to prevent the loss of ground heat. Before the air conditioner is operated, the indoor temperature is kept lower than the outdoor temperature. When heating, air in a building is preheated. Therefore, heat efficiency is enhanced.
