PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which communication between a printer and a personal computer is not interrupted in the way by other instruction and the print sequence itself is not ended inadvertently during print operation. SOLUTION: The printer comprises an interface 81 with a personal computer 70, a memory 83 for storing image data from the personal computer 70, operating buttons 17a-17i for designating various instructions concerning to print, a liquid crystal display 16 displaying information concerning to print, and a CPU 82 as a control means. The CPU 82 controls the operation such that a display of 'under printing' is presented on the liquid crystal display 16 from the start of communication with the personal computer 70 through the interface 81 to the end of print operation and instructions from the operating buttons 17a-17i and the personal computer 70 are not accepted. |
