PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely adjust leveling an upper lid using an upper lid lift device in opening/closing it. SOLUTION: This upper lid lift device is constituted of a connecting member 1 lifted by a crane, three or more arms 3, 4, 5, and 6 radially overhung from the connecting member 1, and lift members 7 and 11 suspended from the respective arms 3, 4, 5, and 6 to be connected to lock parts 13 of the upper lid of a pressure vessel. This upper lid lift device is so formed that the suspension members 11 suspended from at least the two arms 5 and 6 in such a relation as crossing the arm shafts of the arms to each other are suspended from moving members 9 movably provided in the longitudinal direction of the arms 5 and 6, and the moving members 9 are connected to drive mechanisms 21 and 23 moving the moving member 9 in the longitudinal direction of the arms 5 and 6 and fixing them at arbitrary positions.
