PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling apparatus for a powder and granular substance which shortens powder drip time to contribute to speedup thereof. SOLUTION: The filling apparatus for a powder and granular substance includes a controller 24 which controls a rotation of an auger 8 according to its operation patterns. In an acceleration mode among the operation patterns, acceleration of the auger 8 is performed more gently than deceleration of the auger 8 in a deceleration mode. The acceleration of the auger 8 during a terminal period of the acceleration mode is gradually decreased toward a constant speed mode.
