PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new auxiliary for improving and bettering grinding performances by adding the auxiliary to a conventional polishing/grinding fluid, especially a water-soluble oil agent. SOLUTION: This polishing/grinding fluid auxiliary is characterized in that the auxiliary comprises a sodium polyacrylate having 550-9,000,000 molecular weight as an active ingredient and the concentration of the sodium polyacrylate in the polishing/grinding fluid is adjusted to 0.002-1.0 wt.% when the polishing/ grinding fluid is used. |
