PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact hydrogen storage tank which can be always started at low temperature and can suitably be carried by a traveling or transportable object such as a motorcar while dispensing with complicated operation control. SOLUTION: This hydrogen supplying apparatus contains a main hydrogen occlusion alloy and an auxiliary hydrogen occlusion alloy. The hydrogen release equilibrium pressure of the auxiliary hydrogen occlusion alloy is higher than that of the main hydrogen alloy at the temperature when external load is started and the hydrogen occlusion equilibrium pressure of the main hydrogen occlusion alloy is higher than that of the auxiliary hydrogen occlusion alloy at the temperature when the external load is stopped.
