PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coated metal sheet for sublimable dye transfer printing excellent in light fastness, by forming a topcoating film from a thermosetting polyester resin of which the mol.wt., glass transition temperature (Tg) and melamine content are specified. SOLUTION: The coated metal sheet for sublimable dye transfer printing excellent in light fastness is constituted by providing the topcoating film 4 based on the thermosetting polyester resin, which has a number average mol.wt. of 1,000-10,000 and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 20-60 deg.C, and contains 20-150 pts.mass of melamine per 100 pts.mass of a resin solid, on a substrate metal sheet directly or through a base coat layer 2, a primer layer 3 or the like. When thermal transfer is performed using a sublimable dye, a sublimable dye deposited layer 5 is formed on the topcoating film 4 and a color pattern excellent in light fastness is imparted. |
