PURPOSE: To realize an image processing method and device for efficiently performing filtering, a medium on which a filtering program is recorded, and an image photographing device provided with an image processor. CONSTITUTION: A local area including a pixel under consideration in an original image is set in a plurality of modes (502), the processing that calculates the dispersion of pixel values and judges whether or not the value is within a predetermined range is sequentially performed about a plurality of mode areas (504, 506, 508, 512 and 514), and an image is formed with the average value of pixel values of an area where the dispersion value is first within the range as the new pixel value of the pixel under consideration (508, 510 and 524). |
