PURPOSE: A system and a method for processing order/claim in the EC(electronic commerce) are provided to operate the EC by separately managing various information depending on processing steps and letting an order processing clerk, an accounting clerk or a delivery processing clerk to only search the information related with their own work. CONSTITUTION: A user connects to a web server of an order/claim processing system through such a network as the Internet employing a user terminal. Member information and article information are managed by a member management unit and an article management unit. If the user purchases an article in a shopping mall provided by the web server, a control unit stores the data including the user information, article information and a purchasing history in an order reception management unit(135). An accounting management unit(137) manages the data related with the payment on account. A delivery management unit(136) manages the data related with a delivery process. After delivery, the accounting management unit settles accounts.
