PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizing signal generating device that generates an output signal with a 1st prescribed period optionally selected by a user among prescribed periods and generates a synchronizing signal with a period being a common multiple of n-sets of prescribed periods and the 1st prescribed period optionally selected by the user among the prescribed periods. SOLUTION: A storage means consisting of a RAM or the like stores a 1st count corresponding to the 1st prescribed period and a 2nd count depending on the combination of the 1st prescribed period and n-sets of the prescribed period. A 1st counter 34 counts the 1st count according to a reference signal with a reference period to generate an output signal with the 1st prescribed period. A 2nd counter 36 counts the 2nd count according to the output signal of the 1st counter 34 to generate the synchronizing signal with a period being a common multiple of the 1st prescribed period and n-sets of the prescribed periods. A control circuit (CPU) respectively sets the 1st and 2nd counts to the 1st and 2nd counters 34, 36.
