PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge holder holding mechanism which may be reduced in the thickness over the entire part and made smaller in volume while rigidity is maintained and which may be brought into pressurized contact with an opening/closing cap and a cartridge by a single spring part and a disk player having the same. SOLUTION: This cartridge holder holding mechanism 1 has a cartridge holder 2 which houses a cartridge stowing a disk and may be turned on one side by a pivoting part 3 and the opening/closing cap 6 which is pivoted on one side and is turnable. The cartridge holder 2 consists of a pair of right and left cartridge holding parts 2a and a connecting part 2b for connecting a pair of the deodorizing holding parts 2a. The opening/closing cap 6 is provided with projecting parts 6a at its points corresponding to a pair of the cartridge holding parts 2a and connecting part 2b of the cartridge holder so that a pair of the cartridge holding parts 2a and the connecting part 2b can advance to the projecting parts 6a.
