The gripper quick-change device has a flange unit (18), provided with a flange device for fixing to a handling system (14) and a cover plate (22) and a gripper unit (42) having a gripper plate (44) to which the cover plate is secured via a suction pressure. The gripper plate and the cover plate have openings (38,40) for application of a second suction pressure used for retaining a handled workpiece.
