The fuel injection valve comprises an armature (3) having a pan shaped axial extension (7), in which at least one opening (20) is provided. The armature (3) has an inner recess (8), in which the return spring (9) is inserted. The extension (7) consists of at least two segments (23), forming a casing part and a base part (24). The valve needle (13) is designed in the manner of a hollow cylinder and is provided with at least two outflow openings (31).
