The invention relates to a circuit and a method for controlling an electronically controllable braking system for a vehicle comprising a drive which can be activated or disactivated. Said vehicle also has a unit which increases braking force and which can be externally controlled by an electronic control unit. Said method is characterised in that if the drive or the electric energy supply system pertaining to the drive is disactivated, an energy supply system is, or remains, activated, supplying energy to the electronic control unit and the unit which increases braking force.
