The appliance, for massage or therapy or sports applications, has a cylindrical shaft section (3) which transits at one end into a ball-shaped knob (4). The other end tapers into a conical point. A ball-shaped attachment (2) is fitted to one side of the shaft, at right angles to the shaft axis. The appliance is of wood, metal, or a plastics which has no reaction on the skin.
