<p>The present invention provides a method and a device to facilitate authentification or identification of objects using genetic material comprising the steps of locating a first sample of genetic material in a container to be affixed to an object; and locating a second sample of the genetic material separately of the object and/or producing a characteristic description of the genetic material and recording the characteristic description separately of the object, such that if required, the first sample can be accessed and compared to the second sample or characteristic description, the comparison proving or disproving the authenticity or identity of the object.</p> |
