<p>An evaporative humidifier (10) includes a base (12) removably supporting a water tray (34) for holding a quantity of water. A blower assembly (14) and a water tank (16) are removably supported by the base (12) above the water tray (34). The blower assembly (14) includes a housing (88) and a fan (119) disposed intermediate a pair of air inlets (100,102) and an air exhaust outlet (106). A cylindrically shaped wick filter (176) is supported by the water tray (34) and extends upwardly into the housing (88). The fan (119) is driven by a motor mounted inside the housing (88) for drawing air into the housing (88) through the air inlets (100,102), through the cylindrical side walls of the wick (176), and then through the exhaust outlet (106).</p> |
