PURPOSE: A soft polypropylene melt-spun nonwoven fabric obtained by incorporating a specified fatty acid amide blend into a propylene fiber of a melt-extruded nonwoven fabric is provided which exhibits good tactile softness and elasticity and is advantageously used in an absorbent article. CONSTITUTION: This soft polypropylene fabric contains 0.02% by weight of a fatty acid amide blend containing 60 to 75% by weight of stearamide and 25 to 40% by weight of erucamide as a molten additive in polypropylene. A mixture of fatty acid amides is mixed in a polypropylene fiber in the nonwoven fabric subjected to thermal bonding and melt extrusion to impart the softness to the fabric. The fabric has a bending resistance of below 0.62g per 1g fabric. |
