PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building unit allowing a projected object forming operation to be performed easily. SOLUTION: A lower story building unit 10B comprises a habitable room part 30 having columns 32 erected at four corners and ceiling beams 33 and floor beams 34 interconnecting the upper and lower ends of the columns 32 and formed in a box-shape and a projected part 50 provided on the upper part of the habitable room part 30 and projected from the habitable room part 30 in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the columns 32. Since the upper surface of the projected part 50 is used as the floor surface of a balcony 3, the balcony as the projected object of the unit building can be formed by installing a lower story building unit 10B on the 1st story portion of the unit building. Thus, a balcony forming operation can be performed easily.
