PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of restraining the leakage of toner at the time of loading/unloading a toner cartridge to the minimum. SOLUTION: This developing device (1) possesses the cylindrical toner cartridge (9) filled with toner for replenishment and provided with a toner replenishing port (8) at a part of its peripheral surface, an outside tube (10) provided with an aperture (29) communicating with the device (1) when the cartridge (9) is inserted along its inner peripheral surface in an axial direction and rotated to a specified position, so that the port (8) is superposed on the aperture, and a 1st opening/closing member (11) arranged on the cartridge (9) and opening/closing the port (8) by rotating the cartridge (9) in the tube (10) in a peripheral direction. A 1st projection (27) abutting on one side surface of the member (11) is formed near the port (8) on a downstream side in a direction where the member (11) closes the port (8), so that the toner is prevented from being leaked from the port (8) with the rotating operation of the cartridge (9). |
