PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel heterylaniline azo pigment, and an inkjet recording ink which has good hue and can form images having high fastness to light and an ozone gas, and an inkjet recording method. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording ink comprises an azo pigment to be represented by formula (I) (wherein R1 is an aryl group or the like; R2 is an hydrogen atom or the like; R3 to R6 are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or the like; and W is an atomic group necessary to form a 5- to 6-membered hetero ring containing nitrogen). Further, the inkjet recording method comprises forming images on an image receptive material having an ink receptive layer containing white inorganic pigment particles on a substrate with the use of the above ink. Furthermore, the azo pigment is represented by formula (IV) (wherein X is an electron-attracting group having a Hammett' substituent constant σp of >=0.20; Y is a secondary or tertiary alkyl group or the like; and A is a non-metallic atomic group necessary to form a 5- to 8-membered ring). |
