PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil feeder capable of automatically and efficiently supplying a lubricating oil inside a storage tank into a container by employing elevating movement of an elevating device. SOLUTION: This oil feeder for an elevator is provided with a guide rail 2 guiding elevating of the elevating body and an oil feeding mechanism sequentially sucking the lubricating oil held inside the container 4 integrally moving with the elevating body by an oil absorbent member 6 to feed it to the guide rail 2. The storage tank 12 is provided on the elevating body and the lubricating oil to be supplied into the container 4 is stored inside this storage tank 12. A pump mechanism 14 is provided mechanically driven by the elevating motion of the elevating body and the lubricating oil inside the storage tank 12 is sent into the container 4 of the oil feeding mechanism to supply it by movement of this pump mechanism 14.
