PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-shaped wound cover material having safe and excellent body fluid absorption performance, appropriate gel strength and hemostatic effects, and maintaining a wet condition suited for promoting curing of wounds. SOLUTION: The sheet-shaped wound cover material 1 has a galactomannan crosslinked porous body 3 as a body fluid absorbing layer which consists of galactomannan, a boron ion, and an ion, other than the boron ion, of a polyvalent metal with a valence of three or higher.
