PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner with an exhaust cylinder which can be cleaned by simple and sanitary way. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has an exhaust cylinder 8 penetrating through an opening part 11c of a frame 11 composing an upper part of a dust collecting room 6 and extending in the dust collecting room 6, and a brush 111 is mounted to the peripheral part of the opening 11c. The exhaust cylinder 8 is fixed to a communicating tube 92a of an air suction guide 92. When a dust collecting room unit composed of the frame 11, and the first and the second dust collecting cups 61, 62 is moved downward along the axial direction V of the exhaust cylinder 8, the brush 11 slides along the surface of a filter 82, and the dust is scraped off and falls in the cups 61, 62.
