PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for label papers and a label paper-printing system using the same which can print desired printing data on label papers. SOLUTION: The printer for label papers is provided which comprises a holder 3 which holds the label paper 2 horizontally in a state with an upper part opened and to which the label paper 2 is detachably set, a printing means 5 for printing to the label paper 2 held by the holder 3, a feed means 4 for sending the holder 3 back and force between a printing area 11 and a retreat area 12, a working opening 14 opened to a casing top plate 13 of the printer above the retreat area 12 through which the label paper 2 is released from outside, and a control means 6 for controlling the feed means 4 and the printing means 5.
