CORE STRUCTURE OF FAST REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the core size and construction cost of a reactor by reducing the heating load of core of the fast reactor. SOLUTION: The core part of the fast reactor is constituted of a core 1 containing high enrichment plutonium-uranium as main constitution materials and a blanket 7 in radial direction and blankets 9 in axial direction containing low enrichment plutonium or low enrichment uranium as main constitution materials surrounding the core 1.
