The procedure involves a seed goods container with at least one controllable metering opening. Scattering discs with scoops, rotating about a vertical axis distribute the seed goods in a scatter sector on the ground. Devices to alter the sector and at least one sensor are located near the periphery of the scattering disc(s) by means of which the throw-out region is measured in which the particles of seed goods leave the scattering disc. In a computer, for each working width, scatter quantity (size of metering opening) and at least one value of the throw-out region characterising the flight property of a certain sort of seed goods, the mass distribution in the throw-out region and the mean flight width are stored as set points. By means of the sensor(s), aside from the throw-out region, also the mass distribution inside this and the absolute mass per unit time are measured as actual values. From the actual value of the mass per unit time and the size of the metering opening(s) and/or from the actual value of the throw-out region and the mass distribution, plus the position of the device to change the scatter sector, the actual value characterising the flight property is concluded. In an evaluation electronic unit, the actual values are compared with the set points and on the basis of established deviations, the metering opening(s) are adjusted to the given scatter quantity. At the same time, by means of the device for altering the scatter sector, the throw-out region, the mass distribution in the same and the mean flight width are adjusted to the setpoint. |
