PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-resistance heat-resistant separator which does not melt nor has its electrode short circuit even if it is left as it is at high temperature. SOLUTION: The heat-resistant separator is made of a melt blow nonwoven fabric of polybutylene terephthalate of an average fiber diameter of 1 to 8μm, metsuke (weight per unit area) of 5 to 300 g/m2, air permeability of 1 to 100 cc/cm2/see, and thickness of 0.01 to 1.0 mm.
