PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability in finishing an outdoor side floor. SOLUTION: This opening device is a barrier free type opening device provided with a frame body 2 comprising an upper frame 2a, a lower frame 2b and left and right vertical frames 2c, 2d and provided at an opening of a building, and a door body 3 provided in an openable/closable manner at the frame body 2 through a hinge 5, with the lower frame 2b almost flush with an outdoor side floor finished face. The lower frame 2b is provided with a pivot hinge 5 projecting on the outdoor side from the outdoor edge, and a cover member 28 formed in square shape is mounted to the pivot hinge 5.
