PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve conventional problems of lowered properties such as decreased sensitivity in a PD, increased reflection return light and reduced optical output in an LD, which sometimes occur after a heat cycle test, and which have bearing upon the structure in which a connecting part of an optical fiber, an optical waveguide and an optical component is covered with a light- transmissive resin having a refractive index close to that of the optical fiber and waveguide. SOLUTION: A pressurizing mechanism for suppressing the light-transmissive resin is sealed in a container with a pressure imparted, making it possible to constantly pressurizing the light-transmissive resin in the range of temperatures for use. |
