PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch structure for an electronic clinical thermometer of a simple structure capable of reducing assembly cost. SOLUTION: An opening 1a to which a switch 2 is mounted, a groove 1b immediately outside the opening 1a, and a plurality of columns to support a circuit board 3 in the vicinity of the opening 1a further outside are formed in the case 1 of the electronic clinical thermometer integrally with the case 1. The thin-diameter parts of the tips of the columns are inserted in holes in the circuit board 3, and their top parts are flattened and fastened. A boss part 2a, an outer tube part 2b in such a way as to surround the boss part 2a, and a cylindrical part 2d at the lower end of the outer tube part 2b via a flange part 2c are continuously and integrally formed in the switch 2. The outer tube part 2b of the switch 2 is fitted in the opening 1a of the case 1, and the cylindrical part 2d is fitted in the groove 1b. The cylindrical part 2d, which is the peripheral part of the switch 2, is compressed and sandwiched between the case 1 and the circuit board 3 and functions as waterproof packing.
