摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of inaccuracy in the measurement of the dispersion of a device with an optical characteristic quickly changing according to the light frequency, substantial changes in the dispersion and the time delay generated within a frequency range determined by the interval of an AM side wave band to be removed by filtering and errors generated in the measurement of the dispersion when two AM side waves undergo a differential attenuation attributed to a filtering effect of components thereof. SOLUTION: In the system and method for measuring the color dispersion of a test component, firstly two or three or more light signals each differently modulated are transmitted through the test component at a plurality of wavelengths. Phase errors are calculated according to the amplitude given by a transmission function of the component. The errors can be determined from one measured amplitude of the light signals transmitted and one phase and amplitude of another transmitted signal. The phase errors are removed from the phases measured of the light signals. To restore the contests of all of lost high frequencies, the color dispersion is determined from at least two of the transmitted light signals.
